Sclerotherapy |

It is not clear what causes thread veins, but they do occur more frequently in women. Sclerotherapy entails introducing
the tip of an extremely fine needle into the vein and injecting a special sclerosing solution, which causes the vein to
atrophy (die). Depending on its size a single blood vessel may have to be injected more than once some
